Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) -- Marietta

Association of Information Technology Professionals is a student branch of a national professional organization.  This chapter was founded in 1968 and is designed for students planning careers in information technology.  The chapter has monthly meetings with speakers from area companies.  Local competition winners compete at regional and national conferences.

Automotive Club (AC) -- Marietta

This club exists for students who are enrolled in or interested in automotive pursuits. Members work on car restoration and other projects to further expand their knowledge in this industry.

Biological Sciences Club -- Canton

This club exists for students who are interested in biology, microbiology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, biologic science, and other science endeavors.

Car Club -- North Metro

The Car Club promotes a professional attitude, image, technical skills, leadership skills, and industry network opportunities for all CTC students involved in the club. They meet at least once a month on the North Metro campus.

Chess & Board Games Club -- North Metro

This club provides regular opportunities for students to gather in an informal group setting to socialize and play chess, board games, and card games. Students are invited to come join the fun and get to know their peers! Membership is open to all students across all campuses.

Christian Fellowship Club -- Marietta

Membership is open to all students currently enrolled at Chattahoochee Technical College. The club exists to provide regular opportunities to study and discuss the Bible, worship and pray, all in a group setting which also provides opportunities for fellowship, encouragement and spiritual development among members.

CLT Club (Clinical Laboratory Technology) -- Canton

CLT Club exists to further the knowledge of the profession of clinical laboratory technology and encourage participation in local, state, regional and national professional organizations.

Entertainment Technology Council (ETC) -- Mountain View

This organization's purpose is to enhance the member skills to enter the broadcast industry including film, television, radio and news media.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) -- North Metro

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is the world’s largest technical professional society.  Today, IEEE includes 48,000 students within a total membership of 320,000 who conduct and participate in its activities in 147 countries.  Student members participate in monthly meetings, technical seminars, and regional student conferences.  Graduates may upgrade their membership to continue their association with IEEE International Club.

Interiors Club -- Mountain View

The Interiors Club was created to educate and expose students to the world of interior design. The club will help members create and organize portfolios, polish individual resumes, and share concepts and ideas with one another. The purpose of the organization is to advance the theory and practice of interior design. Through various projects, students will build strong social and educational ties that foster high academic achievement and interaction with interior design professionals in the community.

International Club -- Marietta

The International Club serves as an active support group for International student initiatives, concerns, and social functions. The Club co-sponsors the annual CTC International Festival highlighting the cultural diversity of the college. Club members practice cross-cultural skills, learn global leadership skills and participate in civic engagement projects. Selected Club members participate in the annual Georgia International Leadership Conference.

 

Lambda Nu -- North Metro                                                                                                 
Lambda Nu seeks to foster academic scholarship at the highest level, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences and recognize exemplary scholarship.

National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi -- All campuses
The Society is recognized as a world-wide organization that helps students discover and achieve their goals. The Society offers life-changing lectures from the nation’s leading presenters and a community where like-minded success oriented individuals come together and help one another succeed. The Society offers a year-long speaker series and team meetings in which students set and hold each other accountable to achieving goals.

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) -- All campuses
National Technical Honor Society rewards scholastic achievement in technical education.  The organization inducts students who are nominated and who meet established criteria, including a 3.5 grade point average overall and a 3.75 grade point average in their program of study.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) -- Marietta

Phi Beta Lambda is a student branch of a national organization that provides opportunities for students who have career plans in business and office occupations.  Students hold monthly meetings, sponsor service projects, and participate in state conferences and competitions.

Professional Land Care Network (PLANET) -- North Metro

The Professional Land Care Network is an organization for students in the Horticulture program.  PLANET participates in garden tours, seminars, industry-related trade shows, and PLANET Student Field Day and Career Day.  This organization provides an opportunity for members to improve their leadership skills and explore careers in the horticulture field.

Public Safety Club -- Marietta and North Metro

The club exists primarily for students planning to enter public safety careers in criminal justice, paramedics, EMT, fire science, and any other related field.  In addition to regular meetings, students also take field trips to enhance their knowledge in the field, such as annual excursions to Philadelphia to learn about the U.S. Constitution.

Rho Tau Alpha (PTA) Club -- North Metro

Rho Tau Alpha’s (PTA) mission is to create a better understanding of the vastness, diversity, and complexity of the profession of physical therapy through a supportive and informative environment for students enrolled in the physical therapist assistant program.

Science & Math Club -- Marietta

The Science and Math Club promotes awareness of, and appreciation for, science and mathematics; it aims to highlight the effects of science and mathematics on today’s society.  The purpose of the club is to provide activities that allow students to see how math and science are utilized in all aspects of life.

SKILLS-USA --All campus

SKILLS-USA is a national organization serving teachers, high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health fields.  The organization’s purpose is to complement student skills training with personal development.  Students learn such qualities and attitudes as leadership, citizenship, self-respect, and high standards of craftsmanship and ethics.  Students may participate in state and national competitions.  It was formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America).

Student Government Association (SGA) -- All campuses

Student Government Association promotes activities and provides services that contribute to the academic, cultural, social, moral, and intellectual development of students.  This organization, comprised of elected officers and senators representing all campus locations, is responsible for considering policies affecting student life and some campus activities on all campus locations.

Student Nurses Association  -- Austell

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) contributes to nursing education to provide the highest quality of healthcare, create camaraderie among its students, and create opportunities to network within the field.

Surgical Technology Club -- North Metro

The Surgical Technology Club is an organization that aims to provide surgical technology professionals with skill, knowledge, and experiences that will help them deliver total quality patient care. To accomplish this goal, educational opportunities are offered via guest speakers, shared experiences, and member presentations. Other activities include fundraisers and community projects.

White Hat Brigade (WHB) -- Mountain View

This organization's purpose is to enhance member skills to enter the culinary industry. Members have the opportunity to meet with professionals as well as participate in competitions.
