Message from the President

CTC College President

If you are reading this, chances are you have made the decision to continue your education and take the next step toward building a more promising future. As president of Chattahoochee Technical College, I would like to extend a personal greeting to all students entering the college for the 2015-2016 school year. With an abundance of programs designed to meet the needs of Georgia’s top businesses and industries, CTC is excited to help you find an area of study that will meet your personal and academic goals.

From the exciting field of Television Production Technology to the in-demand industry of Welding and Joining Technology, Chattahoochee Technical College’s eight campuses are home to programs that will give you an edge when competing in Georgia’s diverse job market. New to our Marietta Campus this year is Barbering. Programs such as Commercial Truck Driving, Diesel Equipment Technology, Interiors, and Health Sciences remain popular among students and employers.

Although recent headlines show that national student debt is at an all-time-high, the State of Georgia has worked to make affordable higher education a reality for all residents. From Georgia’s HOPE Grant to the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant, the combination of state and national funding incentives will help minimize out-of-pocket expenses at Chattahoochee Technical College. And with some programs showing average salaries of around $60,000, it is a great opportunity to see a return on your investment.

Understanding that on-ground classes may not fit in with the work and personal schedules of many of our students, CTC is proud to also offer many courses and programs that can be completed online. Whether you attend classes on campus or complete them online, the College provides access to Student Success Centers, Libraries, Career Services, and Campus Life activities among its eight campuses. Our goal is to provide access to world-class education for every Chattahoochee Tech student.

Sincerely,

Ronald Newcomb, EdD

President
