International Student Admission Requirements

Steps to Apply as an International Student:

1. Submit a completed Application for Admission and non-refundable application fee in U.S. currency by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), money order or check drawn on a U.S. bank payable to Chattahoochee Technical College by the appropriate admission deadline. All admission documents should be sent to:

2. Submit official transcripts from your high school (or GED or approved high school equivalency) and all colleges attended by the application deadline. All transcripts must be received in envelopes sealed by the sending institution. All international transcripts must be evaluated by an approved evaluation service and sent directly to Chatt Tech. We recommend the evaluation agencies found on the International Admission Information webpage.

High school transcripts or diplomas from institutions outside the U.S. should be evaluated by the document-by-document evaluation method.
Students with college credit or a degree from a college or university outside the United States must submit a course-by-course evaluation of the transcript.
Documents not in English need to be translated.
Chattahoochee Technical College will accept evaluations from NACES and AICE member agencies.

3. Additional Step:  IF you are applying for or already have a F or M student visa, supply the following additional documentation via InternationalServices@Chattahoocheetech.edu

Math and English Testing Scores:  Students who do not have a college degree from an English-speaking institution must present appropriate test scores in English and Math in order to be accepted at Chattahoochee Technical College. The test scores should be less than 5 years old. We accept SAT, ACT or ACCUPLACER NG test scores. Please, see Test Scores for International Applicants.
Proof of Financial Funding. The US government requires all international students to have sufficient funding for at least one academic year. One academic year equals two semesters. The current cost for one academic year is as follows:
Tuition and fees: $10,552 for 12 credit hours and 2 semesters
Living Expenses: 14,121 -estimated cost

Once all items are received and approved, admission status will be sent via email. 

Tuition and Fee Information:  

Tuition and fees are subject to change. International students are required to pay in full their semester’s tuition and fees before classes start. 

Living expenses are an estimate for the current economic conditions in metro Atlanta. Chattahoochee Technical College does not have campus dormitories and does not charge for living expenses. International students are responsible for their housing, food, and transportation.

The student or sponsor must provide a bank letter, a bank statement, or a sponsorship letter verifying a minimum of $24,673 USD is available to finance the first year of education.  All bank correspondence must be written on official bank stationery, translated in English, and certified or notarized by an officer of the bank with the bank address and telephone number printed clearly. Financial documentation must be dated within the last three months, and funds must be stated in the U.S. currently equivalent. 

For F-1 students with dependents on F-2 status, the available funds should be updated as follows: S7,000 additional living expenses for a spouse and $6,000 additional living expenses per child.
