Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant

CTC students who are receiving the HOPE Grant may also be eligible for additional financial assistance from Georgia’s Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant (SIWDG) Award for students in the Commercial Truck Driving Program and also the following TCSG diploma programs: Computer Programming, Design and Media Production Technology, Diesel Equipment Technology, Early Childhood Care/Education, Information Security Specialist, Internet Specialist-Web Application Development, Networking Specialist, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology and Welding and Joining Technology. To qualify, a CTC student must be enrolled in one of the above programs and receiving the HOPE Grant for the same term. Students may obtain more specific information from the Financial Aid Office.

Students must be eligible for the HOPE Grant to receive SIWDG funding.
**There is a one-time award for $1,000 for Commercial Truck Driving.
High school students participating in dual enrollment are NOT eligible for the SIWDG.
Student MUST apply for the FAFSA to determine their total grant eligibility.
