Scholarships

Through Chattahoochee Tech Foundation, CTC students have the opportunity to apply for merit and need-based scholarships annually. These funds are available to current and newly enrolled students through the generous donations of alumni, corporations, and friends of the College. Each scholarship has different criteria and students must apply via the online scholarship application, providing information related to their academic studies, community involvement, and a letter of recommendation. Applications are scored and reviewed by a committee and awards are made based on this score and available funds. Currently, the application period opens in January and closes in March each year. Students receiving scholarship funds are required to attend an annual reception, provide a note of gratitude to the donor of their scholarship fund, and perform service hours on campus.

Chattahoochee Tech Foundation also maintains a list of local or industry-specific external scholarships for which CTC students may qualify.  However, the Foundation does not manage the applications or selections of these funds. These scholarships also have different criteria and the awarding period of each will vary. Students can access this list by visiting the Foundation website.

The Foundation is committed to supporting student success and recognizes that situations may arise in which students are in need of financial assistance outside of the standard scholarship application period. Chattahoochee Tech Foundation offers Emergency Grants for students who are at risk of not continuing their education due to unexpected financial difficulties. A student may be assisted through the emergency grant fund one time only during their tenure as a CTC student. Emergency Grant applications are accepted three times annually and students must submit an application through the online scholarship system.

The online scholarship application is available only during the application period by visiting our website. For more information about Chattahoochee Tech Foundation scholarships or Emergency Grants, please call 770-528-4461.

Chattahoochee Technical College Foundation

Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide philanthropic support to the college, its students, and programs. Private scholarships in the Foundation are based on both need and academic achievement.

When faced with increasing expenses and an economic downturn, students are often forced to decide between continuing to invest in their education or devoting those funds to their families’ needs or the general cost of living. Chattahoochee Tech Foundation was created to alleviate that burden.

The generous philanthropy of the Foundation's stakeholders has helped many students pursue their dreams while keeping the college’s educational programs on the cutting edge.

Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Board of Trustees serve terms ranging in length from one to three years. The Board of Trustees meets quarterly and is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation is financially sound and is fulfilling its mission effectively. Board members serve as champions for the Foundation in the six-county area that Chattahoochee Technical College serves and provide valuable insight to development, engagement, management, and strategic planning.
