Program Description: Medical Laboratory Technology teaches students to perform clinical laboratory procedures under the supervision of a qualified pathologist and/or medical laboratory scientist. Classroom training is integrated with clinical experiences under the medical direction of cooperating clinical laboratories. Program graduates have the qualifications of a Medical Laboratory Technician and are eligible for national certification. The program allows the student to articulate their 2-year degree with a 4-year online CLS/MLS degree.
Program Length: A full-time student who has successfully completed all prerequisite courses with C or better and who has been admitted into the Medical Laboratory Technology program can complete the Medical Laboratory Technology program in five semesters.
Admission Requirements: Students must meet all admission requirements of the college and have reached the age of 18.
Pre-Requisite Courses: The completion of the pre-requisite courses does not guarantee admission into the Medical Laboratory Technology program. Admission into the Medical Laboratory Technology program is competitive, and the program does not maintain a waiting list.
