Campus-Based Federal Title IV Student Aid
Federal Work Study (FWS) and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Campus-based aid, which includes the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), is awarded to students who demonstrate significant financial need per the FAFSA results. "Financial need" is the difference between the Cost of Attendance (COA) at Chatt Tech and your FAFSA's Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The COA for student aid purposes is an estimate of the costs for a student to attend Chattahoochee Tech. The COA includes tuition and fees, books and supplies, room, board, and living expenses. The COA encompasses all costs of attending college although the student may not pay those costs directly to the college. The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) uses the information students provide on the FAFSA and a formula established by law to calculate your EFC--what DOE expects you (and your family, if dependent on the FAFSA) to contribute toward your education over the course of an academic year (3 semesters at Chattahoochee Tech).
