Age

Due to safety, profession/field, or other restrictions, a higher minimum age may be required for some programs.

The following programs require students to be at least 16 years of age prior to the first day of the term for which they will enroll in the program:

Dental Assisting Diploma
Health Care Management AAS

The following programs require students to be at least 17 years of age prior to the first day of the term for which they will enroll in the program:

EMS Professions (EMT/AEMT) Diploma
Medical Assisting AAS and Diploma

The following programs require students to be at least 18 years of age prior to the first day of the term for which they will enroll in the program:

Accelerated Phlebotomy Technician
Commercial Truck Driving Certificate (minimum age is 18 for in-state driving / 21 for out-of-state driving)
Medical Laboratory Technology AAS
Nursing AAS
Nursing - LPN to RN Bridge Option
Occupational Therapy Assistant AAS
Paramedicine AAS and Diploma
Physical Therapist Assistant AAS
Practical Nursing Diploma
Radiography AAS
Surgical Technology AAS

The following program requires students to be at least 21 years of age prior to the first day of the term for which they will enroll in the program:

Brewing and Fermentation Production AAS and Diploma

Age requirements for these or other programs may change without notice. For most programs, eligible applicants are individuals sixteen (16) years of age or older or dually/jointly enrolled high school students in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades who seek access to quality instruction at the postsecondary level. Minimum age requirements for specific programs may be higher.
