Computer Competency

Competency in the use of computers is accomplished through a variety of courses in degree and diploma programs of study. Computer competency attainment is primarily verified through the completion of COMP 1000 or COMP 1500. This course is required in all degree and diploma programs of study except Electrical/Computer Engineering Technology AAS and some Health Science Programs. In these programs, computer competency is taught through embedded concepts in program courses. Many programs of study include additional courses that verify program-specific computer competencies (see programs of study).
