Physical Therapist Assistant Associate of Applied Science Degree

Program Purpose: The Physical Therapist Assistant program is a sequence of courses that prepares students to work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists during the provision of Physical Therapy services. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.  The program includes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction.  Program graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible to sit for a state administered national licensure examination for physical therapist assistants.

Program Length: A fulltime student who has successfully completed all pre-requisite courses with a C or better and who has been admitted into the Physical Therapist Assistant program can complete the Physical Therapist Assistant program in four semesters.

Admission Requirements: Students must meet all admission requirements of the college and have reached the age of 18. Admission into the Physical Therapist Assistant program is competitive, and the program does not maintain a waiting list.
