Program Description: An Interior Design Drafter (sometimes called a CAD Technician or Design Drafter) works closely with interior designers and architects to turn design concepts into detailed construction documents. This role bridges the gap between creativity and construction, ensuring a designer's vision can be accurately built. Typical Responsibilities: Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings using CAD software. Revise and update drawings based on designer or client feedback. Apply drafting standards, line weights, and notation for clarity and consistency. Prepare drawing sets for permitting, construction, or fabrication.
