Program Description: Graduates of the Interior Style Certificate are prepared for entry-level positions that focus on the selection and coordination of furniture, finishes, and materials within the design process. In these roles, they may support interior designers by sourcing and recommending furnishings, textiles, flooring, wall treatments, and accessories that align with a project's concept and budget. They may also assist in preparing presentation boards, finish schedules, and product specifications that help communicate design intent to clients and contractors. Typical job titles include Interior Design Assistant, Interior Stylist, Design Support Specialist, or Materials Library Coordinator. In these positions, graduates work in residential or commercial design firms, furniture showrooms, or related industries, contributing to the aesthetic quality and functionality of interior spaces. Their work ensures that designers' visions are carried through to the final selection of finishes and furnishings, making them an essential part of the design team.
