MAST - Medical Assisting

MAST Course Transfer Policy: 

Chattahoochee Technical College’s Medical Assisting program does not accept transfer credit for MAST courses completed at other institutions.

All MAST coursework applied toward program requirements must be completed at Chattahoochee Technical College.

A student enrolled in MAST courses at Chattahoochee Technical College and earns a grade of C or higher are not required to repeat the course. However, a student who fails a MAST course at one of the campuses will be required to demonstrate competency in the Affective, Psychomotor, and Cognitive domains before they are eligible to begin their externship.

To fulfill these requirements, Medical Assisting students are permitted three attempts during the semester in which the course is taught to demonstrate proficiency in the MAST courses listed below.

• MAST 1100 Medical Insurance Management
• MAST 1110 Administrative Practice Management
• MAST 1112 Insurance and Claims Management
• MAST 1120 Human Diseases
• MAST 1130 Medical Assisting Externship & Seminar
• MAST 1170 Medical Assisting Externship
• MAST 1180 Medical Assisting Seminar
