ESCI 2140 Environmental Impact Analysis

This course introduces students to field and statistical analysis of environmental quality for baseline documentation reporting and environmental impact assessments. Students are introduced to experimental design techniques, statistical data analysis and the significance of results. Field techniques include basic forest identification and delineation, stream and wetland identification and condition assessment as well as measures of physical environmental quality such as soil, air and water. Students will apply data from the field to spatial mapping software to understand how environmental quality may be impacted by features or human activities across the landscape.
