Satisfactory Academic Progress at Chattahoochee Technical College

According to federal and state regulations, students must maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) in their course of study to continue receiving Federal Title IV and State financial aid. Federal Title IV financial aid includes the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), and Federal Work Study (FWS). State-administered financial aid programs include HOPE/Zell Grant, HOPE/Zell Scholarship, HERO, Public Safety Memorial Grant, HOPE Career Grant, GA College Completion Grant, Dual Enrollment, REACH, and the Student Access Loan.

Satisfactory academic progress (SAP) includes three standards: qualitative, quantitative and maximum time frame. Students must meet all standards to continue receiving financial aid. It is the responsibility of the student to be aware of SAP standards and his or her respective status.

This policy is effective March 2022 and supersedes any previously published regulations from CTC.
