Early Childhood Care And Education Basics Certificate

Program Purpose: The purpose of the Early Childhood Basics technical certificate of credit is to provide the basic knowledge for individuals entering the child care field with knowledge of providing a safe and healthy environment, detecting and reporting child abuse, disease control measures, basic human growth and development, developmentally appropriate practices, and balancing the daily schedule.
The coursework in the following TCC curriculum may have prerequisite courses that must be completed prior to enrolling in the TCC courses. All TCCs offered at the college require a minimum of appropriate certificate/diploma placement test scores OR completion of any required learning support courses through the diploma exit point.

All ECCE courses have to be completed with a grade of C or better in order to graduate from any ECCE program.
