Program Purpose: The Environmental Science Technology associate degree offers specialized training to those who are interested in employment in an environmental science related field. Course work includes general education, computer applications, biology, chemistry, industrial safety, and an extensive array of detailed environmentally specific classes. The goal of this program is to produce graduates who have the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to addressing issues associated with human interactions with the environment. The program includes courses approved for certification purposes by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Laboratory Analysis.
