Credit Earned Outside College
Course credit awarded by other than satisfactory completion of a course at Chattahoochee Technical College may be earned as follows:
- Advanced Placement (AP) Credit
- Articulation/Tech Prep (Technical Advanced Placement) Credit
- College Level Examination Placement (CLEP) Credit
- Credit by Examination
- Credit by Transfer
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Credit
- Military Credit (see Credit by Transfer)
- Experiential Learning Credit
- Defense and Non-Traditional Exam Service (DANTES/DSST)
Credit is awarded only in areas offered within the current curriculum of Chattahoochee Technical College and is appropriately related to the student’s educational program. For additional information, please see the Records Office section of the catalog.
A student may receive or earn up to eighteen (18) semester credit hours through CLEP, AP, military, institutional, or other such examinations.
Experiential Learning credit may be awarded for students who have extensive work experience or professional certificates in an area related to their current educational goals, subject to validation by written and/or performance examination. Program faculty will be responsible for verification of competencies attained through experiential learning. Experiential Learning credit will be recorded on the student's CTC transcript with a grade designation of "EXP" and will not be calculated in the student's Academic GPA.
