CTC Foundation Scholarship
Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide philanthropic support to the college, its students, and programs. Private scholarships from the Foundation are based on both financial need and academic achievement.
- Through Chattahoochee Tech Foundation, CTC students have the opportunity to apply for merit (academic-based) and need-based scholarships annually. These funds are available to current and newly enrolled students through the generous donations of alumni, corporations, and friends of the College. Each scholarship has different criteria, and students must apply via the online scholarship application by providing information related to their academic studies, community involvement, and a letter of recommendation. Applications are scored and reviewed by a committee, and awards are made based on this score and available funding. Currently, the application period opens in January and closes in February each year. Students receiving scholarship funds are required to attend an annual reception, provide a note of gratitude to the donor of their scholarship fund, and perform service/volunteer hours at the college.
- Chattahoochee Tech Foundation also maintains a list of local or industry-specific, external scholarships for which CTC students may qualify and receive. However, the Foundation does not manage the applications or the selection process(es) of these funds. These scholarships also have different criteria and the awarding period of each will vary. Students can access this list by visiting the Foundation web page.
- The Foundation is committed to supporting student success and recognizes that situations may arise in which students are in need of financial assistance outside of the standard scholarship application period. Chattahoochee Tech Foundation offers Emergency Grants for students who are at risk of not continuing their education due to unexpected financial difficulties. A student may be assisted through the emergency grant fund one time only during his or her time as a CTC student. Emergency Grant applications are accepted three times annually (each semester). Students can find the application online here.
- Emergency Assistance Grants are available to help current students who are at risk of not continuing their education due to unexpected financial difficulties. The Foundation is committed to supporting student success. A student may be assisted through the emergency grant fund one time only. Funds are limited to a maximum of $500 paid directly to a vendor. Applications are accepted year-round. Application found at the same link as the one above.
The online scholarship application is available only during the application period by visiting our web page. For more information about Chattahoochee Tech Foundation scholarships or Emergency Grants, please call 770-528-4461.
