Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant
CTC students who are receiving the HOPE Grant may also be eligible for additional financial assistance from Georgia’s Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant (SIWDG) for students in the Commercial Truck Driving (CTD) Program and also the following TCSG diploma programs: Computer Programming, Design and Media Production Technology, Diesel Equipment Technology, Early Childhood Care/Education, Information Security Specialist, Internet Specialist-Web Application Development, Networking Specialist, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology and Welding and Joining Technology. To qualify, a CTC student must be enrolled in an eligible program/major and must be receiving the HOPE Grant (meeting all HOPE Grant eligibility criteria) for the same term. Amounts vary from $125.00 to $500.00 per term for all programs except for Commercial Truck Driving. CTD students receive a one-time, $1,000.00 award.
High school students participating in dual enrollment are NOT eligible for SIWDG funding.
Students MUST apply for the FAFSA to determine their total grant eligibility.
