BARB 1020 Introduction to Haircutting and Shampooing

Introduces the theory and skills necessary to apply basic haircutting techniques. Safe use of haircutting implements will be stressed. Also introduces the fundamental theory and skills required to shampoo hair. Laboratory training includes shampooing a live model. Topics include: preparation of patron, haircutting terminology, safety and sanitation, implements, and basic haircutting techniques, shampoo chemistry, patron

preparation, and shampoo procedures.
