Computer Competency
Competency in the use of computers is accomplished through a variety of courses in degree and diploma programs of study. Computer competency attainment is primarily verified through the completion of
COMP 1000, Introduction to Microcomputers. This course is required in all degree and diploma programs of study except Electrical/Computer Engineering Technology AAS and Broadcast Engineering Technology AAS. In these programs, computer competency is verified through Networking Systems I. Many programs of study include additional courses that verify program-specific computer competencies (see programs of study).
