Clinical Laboratory Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree

Program Description : Clinical Laboratory Technology teaches students to perform clinical laboratory procedures under the supervision of a qualified pathologist and/or clinical laboratory scientist. Classroom training is integrated with clinical experiences under the medical direction of cooperating hospitals. Graduation from this program allows students to take a national certification examination which is necessary for clinical employment.
Program Length : A fulltime student who has successfully completed all pre-requisite courses with C or better and who has been admitted into the Clinical Laboratory Technology program can complete the Clinical Laboratory Technology program in five semesters.
Admission Requirements : Students must meet all admission requirements of the college and have reached the age of 18. Students who intend to apply for the Clinical Laboratory Technology program must enroll in the Health Sciences Certificate program to complete the associate degree level
Pre-Requisite Courses . The completion of the pre-requisite courses does not guarantee admission into the Clinical Laboratory Technology program. Admission into the Clinical Laboratory Technology program is competitive, and the program does not maintain a waiting list.
