RNSG 1120 Adult Health Nursing Concepts I
Adult Health Nursing Concepts 1 is designed to prepare the student to use the nursing process in the care of adult patients with selected alterations of the endocrine, urinary, hematology and hepatic, gastrointestinal, and neurological systems. Pharmacological management of the identified stressors will also be discussed. This course includes classroom theory, skills lab/simulation, and clinical experiences. Nursing skills related to these adult health conditions will be demonstrated and practiced in the nursing skills lab component. The role of the nurse as provider of care will be expanded upon to include basic clinical decision-making, patient education, and coordination of care, medication administration, and collaboration with other health care team members. Clinical experiences will occur in a variety of acute care settings.
